What is a godly wife ?
A godly wife is a wife who has first submitted to Yehovah and has the spirit of Yehovah and is being led by it She has learned by revelation of His word her place in marriage and has revelation through the Holy spirit of a profound truth found in Ephesians 5:22
Ephesians 5:22
Wives submit to your own husbands as to the lord , for the husband is the head of the wife, as also Yeshua is head od the church and he is the saviour of the body .
Therefore just as the church is subject to Yeshua, so the wives to THEIR OWN Husbands . as the scripture reveals that the Man represents Yeshua and the woman the church
V25 tells the godly husband his role as representing Yeshua in this mystery. This revelation is the foundation of how and why the godly wife should treat their her godly husband .
So how will a godly wife treat her Godly husband ?
She will help him
Genesis 2;18
And the Lord God said ‘it is not good that man should be alone , I will make him a HELPER comparable for him .
She will love her husband , be submissive to her and obedient
1 Peter 3:1
Likewise ye wives be submissive to your own husbands the women can win over even an unbelieving husband with her chased conduct accompanied by fear .
She will have a gentle and quiet spirit for in this manner in times past the HOLY women who trusted in God also adorned then selves , being submissive to their own husbands.
As Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, who’s daughters you are if you do good and are not afraid with any terror.
A Godly woman is submissive to her Godly husband without terror, she is not afraid of her husband but honours him by choice and through love.
Titus 2:3
The older women likewise that they be reverend in behaviour, not slanderers. not given to much wine teachers of good things, that they admonish the young women to LOVE their husbands ,to love their children , to be discrete, chased , home makers , good, obedient to their own husbands , that the word of God be not blasphemed.
Discretion in a wife concerning her husband she will not gossip repeat his business or conversations to others .
She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life
Proverbs 31:10
Who can find a virtuous wife?
For the worth is far above rubies
The heart of her husband safely trusts her,
So he will have no lack of gain.
She does him good and not harm all the days of HER LIFE,
Proverbs 31 shows her help towards her husband and her family even the servants in her home are blessed because she is seeing to the needs of the home she provides food for all .
V23 her husband is known in the gates , when he sits among the elders of the land , she is busy not idle . her husband and children call her blessed and her husband praises her because she is praise worthy.
V 30 declares she is a godly woman she fears Yehovah and her husband blessed as she is his helper as his wife , he doesn’t have to worry about his home and food, clothes , his home and she is bringing in financially too and raising his children well as he leads.
The godly wife speaks to her Godly husband with wisdom and kindness
Proverbs 31:30
She opens her mouth with wisdom and on her lips is the law of kindness.
This woman having the fruits of the spirit , manifests love.
Galatians 5:22
For the fruit of the spirit is
LOVE
JOY
PEACE
LONGSUFFERING
KINDNESS
GOODNESS
FAITHFULNESS
GENTLENESS
SELF CONTROL
she is patient with her godly husband , kind to him , she doesn’t embarrass him she has self control, she is not easily angered’ she is polite and respectful . she doesn’t seek to dominate him by seeking her way over his. She is gentle and faithful and their marriage is a blessed one by both of their submission to their creator Yehovah
