The White, Yellow, Brown, Black, & Red Herrings

Greetings everyone! As I type this, I have the heat turned up as high as it can go on the thermostat. It's cold once again (13oF/-10oC) in my neck of the woods, but like someone recently told me, "If you don't like the weather in Oklahoma, just wait until tomorrow." With that said, it's forecasted to be 80oF/26oC on Thursday and I ain't complaining. Just like this weather is up and down and all over the place, people and doctrines follow a similar trend and there's no shortage of extreme swings in religious doctrines. In the age of the digital information war it's hard to grab hold of the truth unless we are being guided by the Holy Spirit. Marcus began this series two Sabbaths ago by introducing the word palter which is defined as deceitful behavior. In the religious world, this is almost a requirement in certain areas in order to comply with manmade doctrines. We have to remember we are not called to come into agreement with doctrines UNLESS they come from the Almighty. We all have things that we need to let go of by adopting His truth in place of the lies we've inherited or actively sought after. One of these lies is the doctrine of the race based gospel that has infected the body of Messiah at large, however; when some of the referenced scriptures used to support this theory are scrutinized, we see that it's not supported.
When we examine the use of the word gentile and nations (both Strong's H1471) in Genesis 10:5, we can see that it's definition is definitely not limited to what is taught in the "two kinds of people" teaching. You're either a Jew or a Gentile and apparently all Jews are Caucasian, so by default, my brown skin and you're white skin (if you're unable to find Jewish blood in your family line) makes us gentiles (being defined as someone not Jewish). Strong's H1417 shows up first in Genesis 10:5, and is used in this verse as a proper noun to refer to the posterity of Noah's son Japheth and at the end of the same verse as nations or a massing of people. So it's unfair and misleading to apply one version of the definition to every mention of the word without considering the context in which it's being used. So what's this "either Jew or gentile" theory about? The premise is that the whole of the nation of Israel has been absorbed into the Jewish identity; one tribe has supplanted the other 11 so if you're not Jewish, then you belong not to God's chosen people, but to another nation. You are not the Almighty's chosen and are therefore a second class citizen. You are not privilege enough to observe His holy commandments and please don't bother messing with "their" Elohim unless you convert. Even if you do convert, many non-Jews are never seen as an equal to their Jewish counterparts. On the flip side, to say that all Hebrews are Black is another fallacy that tries to justify the race based gospel. Marcus points out that word Hebrew derives from Eber, a great-grandson of Shem. Therefore, if Shem was indeed Black and had sons and daughters, how can ALL of his descendents be known as Hebrews if the name is derived from Shem's great-grandson? It's more accurate to call Eber's offspring alone Hebrews. This doctrine excludes non-Black/Brown people from consideration as "God's chosen people" and leaves them in the camp of the enemy - Satan. All of this is non-Biblical and utterly ridiculous.
We see that these race based gospels are directly opposed to what the Bible actually teaches. Cherry picked verses twisted and distorted to bolster man made doctrines are at the cornerstone of their philosophy. Like I mentioned last week, this is what human beings do; they divide because they can't see past their noses. I remember growing up hearing that the Jews were God's chosen people and it never sat well with me. Why? Because I was taught to understand what a Jew looked like was to look at the people that identified as Jewish. Well, they were all white and I wasn't, so I guess I could never be a part of His chosen brood. That is such a lie and almost brings me to tears just remembering that garbage and knowing that people are still being taught this by all race based gospels. However, my answer was not to go and embrace another lie that exalted my earthly heritage to the same title. I didn't know what to do with that information, but Father lead me along until He revealed to me that individuals using His Word to justify lies doesn't discredit His truth. Israel is the nation He chose to be His servant, in which He would display His splendor and to be a light unto the nations so that His salvation will reach to the ends of the earth (Isaiah 49:3;6). Israel incorporates the multitude of nations that have come into covenant with the Father by agreeing to abide by the terms He established for His nation to be governed. YeHoVaH is not our personal genie that we toss around to subjugate and disgrace His creation. New Flash: He doesn't care about your skin color - it's not a problem for Him because He made all of us! What His Word says is that He's concerned about us loving Him with our whole hearts, keeping His commandments, and receiving His Messiah - that's actually what the Word teaches. We really have nerve attributing racism and prejudice as characteristics of the Most Holy Elohim! When you run into false doctrines, don't allow it to minister to your hurt, pain, or carnal sensibilities; let the Word expose it and then decide who you're going to serve - yourself or YeHoVaH. Remember that we are Spirits and our "car" on this earth is our body. We are more than black, white, yellow, red, and brown skin. We are more than wide and narrow noses or straight and curly hair. Look in the mirror, that's not you! It's a vehicle, so the next time we want to mistreat someone based on their heritage or the color of their skin, we have to remember that we're rejecting the spirit of that person for shallow reasons and it's not right. It shouldn't even be a consideration when deciding to interact with a person and while we may have our reasons as to why we do it, it's not justifiable. It's time to really be mindful of spirits that operate in the background of our minds; they may not make the most noise, but if it's there we need to get rid of it. That which is born of the flesh will manifest things of the flesh and what's born of His Spirit will manifest His Spirit. We all must be born again and the race based gospel is a distraction from the requirement to be born again - it's the ultimate red herring.

I have a question. When you said: “my brown skin and you’re white skin (if you’re unable to find Jewish blood in your family line)….” Are you saying that white skinned people can’t find Jewish blood in their family line? Because that would be untrue. Color doesn’t matter, but I’m white and I have Jewish blood and black blood in my DNA that goes way back and we are all from the same mother and father…so skin and race have nothing to do with anything of course. What were you saying there? Thank you and Shalom.

Hi PJ! Thanks for your question! What I meant by that statement is to challenge the notion that the ancestral heritage of someone can be identified by their skin color. So for white individuals that have no idea if they have Jewish ancestry, some would consider them Gentiles. I hope this cleared up the confusion! Shalom!
